Iam brand new to Mac..like three days..like what I see so far.I have taken a peek at Aperture in the store, looks pretty good, will it open Nikon NEF images right out of the box?
I also see that iStockPhoto is linked in the software...anyone using that function?
I liked the 20 inch screen for my desk, how sizable of upgrades can I do and,can I do them myself meaning plug-in?

Thanks
Steve:)

Hello and welcome to the forums. :)

I personally don't use Apertuare so can't answer your question about iStockPhoto.

Here is the list of supported cameras for Aperture Raw capabilities.

With the iMac you can upgrade the RAM, instructions with diagrams, to a maximum of 4GB acording to apple. The harddrive is a litte more tricky and I believe it will void the warranty. If you want a bigger internal drive then you will need to take it it for apple (or a certified technican) to do it for you. Of course you can always use an external drive connected to the computer to give you the space needed.
