(Please merge if this is a repeat) Randomly, when I take a photo or a notification (it is usually the first sound after unlocking the phone) the sound is very loud, near max volume, while all subsequent sounds/notifications come in as normal. I noticed it more with the camera than notifications for sure.

I usually keep my volume level at 1 or 2. I suspect a software glitch, but wanted to see if anyone out there in iPhone 12 land was experiencing the same. Thanks!

Apparently which has survived multiple bug fixes. Still think it is a feature. Seems like it makes sense to make one serious attempt to alert you when you've woken the phone, then keep it per user set volume.

I noticed this too, only for me it's the first half of a sound is max volume then it goes down to normal. It's very jarring and definitely seems like a glitch.
