You'd only make light pass through more layers reducing the quantity and quality of it. I don't personally think any matte screen protectors would actually look good.
If it bothers you this much, remove the silver bezel, strip it chemically and have it powdercoated a glossy black.
I put one of those anti-glare screen protectors on my MBP and it worked well for the glare. It was about $30 from Amazon, Green Onions is the brand I believe. It's a little less crisp than the glossy screen alone, that's what is expected due to the nature of anti-glare films/screens. If you put it on correctly, nobody can tell that you even have it on.
I now have an MBP with the matte finish and silver bezel, and the quality was comparable. Definitely better on the matte screen, but comparable.
