Love the machine, everything about the touch bar, touch ID, weight, power etc.

However, having owned this fine machine for a few weeks now and using it as my primary device a few things seem to annoy me and they revolve around the USB-C.

1) My USB hard drive that I connect via a dongle (purchased from Amazon) doesn't always recognise and I often need to try all the ports on the Macbook Pro or restart the machine for it to appear on my Mac.

2) Sometimes my wifi disconnects and the moment I take out the USB-C dongle it works fine.

Anyone experiencing the same issues?

p.s. this is the USB hub

Don't use an USB hub but use the apple USB-C to USB connector to use my gaming mouse and I have no issues wifi disconnecting...regardless what port I use. My guess is that it is the USB-C Dongle. Which leads me to ask you this, is it an Apple certified dongle or a 3rd party dongle that you can buy for cheap?

If its an 3rd party dongle, then my guess is that is the issue and I would spend a bit more and get a dongle that is Apple Certified.

USB 3 has known interfererence issues with WiFi. Also, is there a particular reason to use a usb hub or adapter in the first place? Most hard drives have detachable cables, so you can simply use an appropriate usb cable.
