I just got my iPhone 4 activated at Walmart, and everything is fine, except I have no 3G. Is this common, or is it due to the overwhelming activations?

No 3G - switching to Edge

I have noticed the same thing here in south Metro Atlanta. Places where I used to get a 3G signal I now get an Edge signal. I called Apple Cust Service and I was told that the iPhone4 links to a tower based on "Volume" or "load" on the towers in the area not necessarily "signal strength". So what I was seeing was "normal" according to Apple

Um do you have 3G coverage in your area? I know I don't in upstate NY.

I'm having the same issue.

I'm not connecting to 3G anymore where I used to. Some of the Apps like Craigslist and Twitter just timeout now.

I think its ATT..

My 3g was fine this morning, then around noon it just stopped. Web pages just time out or don't load, apps don't connect (oddly enough meebo would work, but SLOW).

I switch to Edge.. works like it always does.

I think all the users getting their phones today is just slowing down 3g, hopefully it will get better
