Hello guys. I have iPod touch 4g 8 GB.
I love it and there are several reasons for it.

1. Its super slim
2. it can play many many things
3. I read e-books and magazines in it.
4. I write and read notes in it.
5. I play games in it.
6. I see movies in it.
7. I clicks images and make hd videos with it.
8. It's awesome

Why do you love your Ipod Touch ?

Wirelessly posted (Ipod touch 4g 4.2.1: Mozilla/5.0 (Sonny Bro!; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

i like my 8gb 4th gen ipod touch becAuse:

i can go on fb whenever i want
the games keep me occupied
i can take hd video <3
i can watch youtube in hd
it has an external speaker
i can find out the names of songs i dont know with soundhound
music obviously
and LOOONG battery life :)

I love mine for listening to audio books. Nothing like someone reading you a bed time story. :p

I used to love mine for gaming, but since I got my iPad 2, I haven't really played any games on my iPod Touch.

The main reason is email. With a PC, you take 10 minutes just to start it up and open the email. Not with my iPod. 10 seconds, and it's done. Ebooks is another reason.

I like my iPod because now I have a clock on the go without having to wear a watch. Also, its a great music player. Facetime makes it easy to give my GF a quick call occasionally too.

I use mine a lot less since I got my iPad, but my main use is texting. I have a pretty awesome setup right now, I jail broke it, hacked SMS app to work, installed bite SMS and downloaded smsgv extension for m google voice account. Now I have my own number with unlimited texting through the stock appp plus extras like replying from anywhere and custom tones! It's awesome!

It does everything that an iPhone 4 can do minus a phone contract. Love the retina display, the smoothness in UI and it's thiness. Brilliant media player and combined with my dumb phone I don't need an iPhone just yet :)

Best thing above all, I got my iPod Touch for free from my company for an employee award :D

I plan on buying a new Mac late May or early June to take advantage of the iPod Touch giveaway deal - but I already own an iphone 4 32 Gb and an Ipad 1 and iPad 2 3G 32 Gb - so what the heck can I use a iPod Touch for

I always carry my iPhone 4 with me - so using this for music seems much better than having to bring an iPod Touch with me and also my iPhone 4 - so what is the iPod Touch good for in my situation

Should I just sell it when I get it for free as part of the summer deal or can I use it for other situations I'm not aware of currently :)

How do you find the 8gb? Is it enough space?
I probably won't be storing much music on it. Will be using more as a mini pda/ipad for apps and games.

urgent

i`m getting my new ipod touch on a week.
So my question is if i get a gel case it will protect the back or it will still get scratches.
Please reply and sorry for wrong thread:D:apple::apple:

NO DATA PLAN ! ! ! That's what I love about my iPod touch

I use it for:
music - set the timer for going to sleep
email when away - great when traveling!
audio books (I use the timer on that too)
Kindle app for soooo many free books
budget - recording purchases
facebook
video for sharing travels with family
small enough to carry even in a small purse, so it is always with me

What disappoints me about my iPod Touch?
the crumby still camera (come on, Apple, give me a decent 3mpx at least)
no phone (I know it isn't an iPhone, but I wish I could have either an iPhone with no data plan only wifi, or an iPod Touch with a phone plan)

Awesome

because its like a cheap portable cellophone.

Internet is fast- mini ipad= touch screen laptop
Music
best free games ever
photo/camera is good

How do u download movies?? or how to watch movies?

I hope the 2 brand new members with links in their sigs and generic posts aren't spam bots!

But I do like my iPod touch. It's effectively a mini laptop for me. Use it for web browsing, email, Twitter+Facebook. Basically a really small communications device for someone who doesn't need an iPhone.

My only beef with the iPod touch is the small capacity, and those speakers, display and cameras could be improved upon.

Lovin it

I love my ipod touch bc i can not only skype but i can get on the internet and listen to music wherever i am... its like my own portable computer in my hands lol:apple:

Use Skype - better than iphone since it includes video and it's free - no data plan like you want.

The main reason is email. With a PC, you take 10 minutes just to start it up and open the email. Not with my iPod. 10 seconds, and it's done. Ebooks is another reason.

You need a better computer then. 10 minutes to boot up is a long time.

I suggest you get a new computer, preferably not a 15 year old model attempting to run Vista.
