I've owned my mid-2010 macbook pro for about 7 months now. It was manufactured 10 months ago. My MBP has never been 100% or even 99% capacity. I'm really anal and paranoid about these kinds of things, so of course it's bugging me. I've gotten used to it, and i'm whatever about it. But I recently checked and it's 95% now? with 23 cycles? I calibrate my macbook once per month.

Am I being ripped off here?

I bought mine 7 months ago as well (seems like it hasn't been that long ) and it's at 88% health. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

These two statements seem to contradict each other.

But to answer your question, it seems fine to me. The battery in my own MacBook seems to fluctuate quite a bit, higher on some days than on others. Unless you're noticing a performance issue, I wouldn't worry about it.

you need not worry, mine has been fluctuating from 92-93% for last 2 months.
You are actually better off at 95%.
Btw have done only 57 battery cycles. :apple:
