Purchased two brand new iPhone 11 Pros for my parents just a week ago and now they are telling me the EAR speaker is extremely low when on a call.

I’m out of town at the moment and trying to help them troubleshoot remotely.

Any suggestions?

And yes the plastic film is off and the volume is turn all the way up while on a call and have tried turning off noise cancellation.

Good Grief Apple. It’s a phone. Do you hear me now.

Ask them to go to Settings, Sounds & Haptics, and check to see if they have selected (under Ringer and Alerts) "Change with Buttons".

Have them test by moving the sound bar all the way up. They can call one another to check which setting works best for them.

Hi.

I had them call me and while NOT on speaker I had them change the volume.

They told me the bar increased and decreased in size.

Should I still have them check the option in settings?

use the speakerphone. It also helps the other person on the line at the other end hear you better too

If the volume bar is up all the way on both speaker and loud speaker and volume is still low, most likely a faulty phone.

Phone(s)?

What a pain.
Hmmm, what are the chances both phones are faulty. 🤔 sounds like a software issue now. Doubt both phones could have faulty speakers.

Maybe try restoring them or run iOS 14.5 beta 4 and see if anything changes.
