Low Power for attachments

I have an older Mac G4, works fine, OSX 10.4.11.
Not enough ports for my external memory etc.
When I attach my iPhone 4 through my Belkin USB external 4 ports (no power to the Belkin just USB port) I get a message: not enough power to use the iphone (etc.).
Is there an attachment with power that I can use to sync my iPhone, and others?

Either plug directly into your Mac, or get a powered USB hub.

Thank you. I'm stuck, my Mac G4 does not have USB2.
It's time for a new mac.
