I have a bunch of spoken word files recorded back in the mists of time that I want to have available on my iPhone.

My usual trick would be to put into iTunes on my mac and then have it sync via iCloud to a playlist on my phone (and other devices)

But... these files are old and too low quality for iTunes Match to load them into iCloud.

How do I get them onto my phone? I don't just want them in dropbox or similar as I need a decent media player to remember last played point etc.

I can see a few options:

1. Is there another good media player for iOS with less fussy cloud syncing

2. I could use Fission to batch re-sample the files at a higher audio rate, but I'd rather not

3. Wire-sync mac to phone(?) but would that mess up my general iTunes Match setup

Ideas most welcome
