I have many digital pictures from years ago take at anywhere from 2.5 - 5.0 MP. Some of my greatest memories were captured during this time in my life. Will the images be inhanced when viewed on a retina display? Or, is it possible they will look distorted?

Thanks.

They won't look distorted if you use a retina-enabled program to view them, such as iPhoto or Aperture. The Retina MBP's display is basically a 5 MP display, so you should be able to view 5MP photos with full detail.

Even in a non-retina-enabled program, such as Photoshop, they will still appear about like they would on a non-retina display.

Also, the Retina MBP has a higher quality display, besides the improved pixel density. It has better viewing angles, contrast, and black levels when compared to the previous MBP displays.
