Low storage space issue

I have an issue regarding storage space on my 32g ipad 3. I'm getting storage almost full messages. When I look at where most of the storage is been used it indicates the camera roll but I currently have very few pictures in the camera roll.

Also, it freezes quite a bit over the last few months.

Any suggestions on what might be wrong?
