Just hold your horses dynamic. That could mean something really important, like say, a future upgrade of the iMacs perhaps to 1GHz and DDR RAM.

Normally, I wouldn't be so mad about it, but I leave for college on monday and it would be nice to have a computer.

I know someone who got that email from Apple, then shortly afters got her shipping notice. So it could be as little as a day or so delay.

Did you order 512Meg in a one dimm or two dimm configuration?

We saw the same thing with the 15" imacs when they were launched. They probably are having a hard time manufacturing the 17" panels. They'll catch up.
