So I bought a G4 cube quite a few years ago but it didn't come with the apple power supply. It came with an epson scanner power supply which is 20v and 8 amps, which only works out to 160 watts. Whereas the apple powermac g4 cube powersupply is 28v and 8 amps, 205 watts. It powers on with the epson power supply and seems to work okay. But my question is, will using the epson power supply damage the computer or should I wait and try and find the original power supply?

Are you powering the screen with the same power supply? Does the cube have upgrades? How hot does the power brick get?

The only thing i've changed in it is the gpu, it has a Radeon 7500 and no it's not powering the display, it's just going through VGA. The brick doesn't seem to get too hot i'd say, the temperature is about what i'd expect.
