I currently have a 15" MacBook Pro but don't think I need to lug it around all of the time with me...

I'm after a MacBook Air really - would be great to travel with.

For home, I need something that can handle ideally Aperture (though iPhoto would be OK) and iTunes.

Low power consumption/wattage.

Anyone got any advice?

New mini. Aperture is not demanding on the video card.

Interesting indeed :)

I was thinking something along those lines - I just sold my old mini (about 2 weeks before the upgrade).

I'm wondering if I should swap the MBP out for a MBA and Mini...

Well, let me rephrase that. The video card in the new mini and the Air (9400m) is MUCH better than the old GMA950. Aperture just managed to run on those.

Hadn't even thought about putting Aperture on the air to be honest... it was more for writing my thesis.

I should probably just stick with the 15"er though and get on with actually writing my thesis :)

Thanks for the advice on the Mac Mini though. Those new graphics processors look great.

I got so bored writing mine, I went and got a job with Motorola before I finished. Kept going bck the the University on weekends for another 6 months before I got the stupid thing finished. Good luck.
