LPT: If your 16GB/1TB M1 is on backorder, try ordering again. It may be in stock locally for tomorrow pickup

My M1 MacBook Pro was backordered to the end of January. Just on a hunch, I went to the Apple site, chose my configuration (16GB/1TB) and whala, their site showed that it was available for pickup tomorrow at all local locations. So I cancelled my old order and now have my M1 coming tomorrow

I checked various locations across the US and this seems to be the case for most areas.

I need 2TB and I don't think you can get that at any store.

I did this -- I was able to drive and pick it up rather than wait the 4 weeks of my order status.
