Just wondering if LTE is not available in your area, would the ip5 resort to 4G (Wimax) or all the way back down to the carriers 3G network?

asking this because i don't have LTE in my area and sprint doesn't plan to for a while. Although 4G is available. Wondering what the phone would resort too. Sprints 3G is just awful

Thanks in advance (sorry if a post like this has already been posted)

Seeing how no iPhone can use WiMax. But on AT&T the iPhone 4S and 5 will drop to HSPA+ and on Verizon and Sprint it'll drop to CDMA speeds. Or in Sprint's case, very fast dialup speeds.

If 25mbps speeds (practical speeds that I actually experienced) is not 4G, I am not sure what could be.
