Hello everyone, my work currently is giving me a Note20 and I currently own an LTE AppleWatch, has anyone used a non iPhone with the AppleWatch (LTE version) successfully? Or is it a requirement to use the watch with an iPhone? What would I be missing out on if I just had the AppleWatch LTE and my work phone? Don't really want to have to carry around my iPhone as well as my work phone just to get the max usage out of my AppleWatch....Thanks!

A Watch can only be paired with an iPhone running the Watch app. There is no Watch app for Android.

You can certainly leave the iPhone at home as long as you have the LTE Watch (with data plan), but at some point for backing up, syncing, etc., the Watch does need to touch base with its paired iPhone.

Your watch battery will drain faster than normal, since cellular uses more power than bluetooth, If there's wifi available where you are, it will be less of a power draw than just cellular. But if you drive for work, and are in low cell signal areas, your battery will be worse.

it also depends on what apps you use...
something like WhatsApp, you'll get notifications on your watch, but won't be able to answer anything without your phone,
For apple's messages app, you can respond, but anything lengthy and you'll probably want your phone.
for phone calls, you can do them with just the watch, but again for anything lengthy or important, you'll want your phone or bluetooth headphones paired to the watch.

That we can't answer for you, since everyone is different, you'll need to make a list of what apps you use, and if they're usable without a phone nearby.
