Hey guys, I work in an crowded office park and I've noticed that while on 3G I get 4 bars of signal strength, but while on LTE I only get 1. Today I put my iPhone in field test mode while on LTE, and I noticed a signal strength of -86. According to a chart someone posted here a while ago this would be 3-4 bars of signal strength. My LTE speed is slow at about 1-2 mbps, but it works.

When I put my phone in 3G mode it showed a signal strength of -80, which is on par with the 4 bars it was displaying.

Does the iPhone calculate the signal bars differently when on LTE?
