I went to the Apple store in the Marina area of SF and neither ATT or Verizon iPad 3's were showing LTE.

I took an ATT iPad around the Presidio Heights, Pacific Heights and Cow Hollow neighborhoods and never once saw LTE light up.

Looking at the ATT coverage map, it appears there is a hole in this area?

Where are people getting the strong LTE speeds in SF - is that all downtown and SOMA?

I took a minute to kick in but I'm in Santa Clara and got about 38 Mbps down when I tested it earlier.

Turns out my plan hadn't been activated properly. Works great!
