I’m trying to determine whether I should go with ATT or VZ, and the biggest determining factor for me is if there is a difference in the quality and/or capability of ATT’s LTE service and VZ’s LTE service. Since there will be two distinct iPhone models, one GSM and one CDMA, I’m inclined to believe that there are inherent differences between ATT’s and VZ’s LTE network, but I don’t know.

All things being equal, ATT LTE and VZ LTE are both in my area, Boston, is there any appreciable difference between the two LTE networks? Is one faster or otherwise better than the other?

Thanks for the help.

Verizon currently has the widest coverage area and fastest LTE speeds on average. Of course, that can vary depending on your specific locations.

My recommendation is to look at the coverage maps on their respective websites and do some searches for results in your local area.

it would be UNWISE to go AT&T, due to the spectrum compatibility alone.

AT&T iPhone 5's does not have global roaming LTE capabilities like the Sprint or Verizon version.

Also, Verizon has the most robust, widespread LTE network to date.

As others have said you should go Verizon. AT&T only has LTE in a few major cities. They seemed more focused on college towns. Kinda annoying.

Perhaps I was unclear. I live in Boston, and both VZ and ATT have LTE coverage.

Since I don't need to worry about coverage, I want to know if there are any differences between the two LTE networks? Is one faster or otherwise better than the other?

Thanks.

Really post a link to confirm this?

I'd bet verizon is faster.
