Not sure if this helps ya out at all but here you can see the coverage for AT&T in that area/the rest of the US.

Just zoom in and check the 3G box...although it doesnt say on that list that 3G is available in Amarillo...you might get lucky..let me know if this helps at all

I've been in Lubbock since January (moved from Cincinnati) and 3G has been here since before I moved......
