Holy crap. I have been through many, many cases and have never been able to not remove one. I literally just spent an hour trying to get this case off of my brand new 14 pro max deep purple and now I'm too scared to look at any potential damage the removing process might have caused to the sides of my phone.

I've watched the installation video Caudabe sends and followed directions entirely. This case would not budge and after almost an hour I finally somehow managed to get it off. The reason I tried to remove it in the first place after just putting it on my brand new phone was to try on the other case I had bought.

Has anyone else experienced this or actually tried to remove the lucid clear from their 14 pro max? A video showing how you took it off would be helpful because this case was literally glued on for me and it was ridiculous to get off to say the least. I'm convinced there is no easy way to take it off.

I cannot recommend this case.

The video does show the removal process.
Is it rigid plastic or semi flexible?
Maybe heat it VERY gently with a hairdryer?

I watched and followed that removal/installation video. To me, it was worthless and didn't help at all. Also that video isn't even filmed with a 14 pro max or their clear magsafe case.

Totally true. I had the same experience. I was finally able to get it off. I immediately sent an email to them explaining the issue and was told to watch the video, which I had already done and as you know was totally useless. I will be returning mine for a refund. By the time I got the case off, there were scratches on the inside of the case. Fortunately I also had the deep purple so it didn’t damage my phone. I’m hoping to try the clear (crystal) Phone Rebel case when it becomes available. For now, I am using a Spigen Ultra Hybrid. Unfortunately, it has TPU sides and will eventually yellow.

I bent an iPad a small amount because the case would not come off! Horrible I’m sorry.

I cracked my Lucid Clear trying to remove it from the 13 Pro before I traded it in and I was very careful with it. I can totally see how your concerns are warranted.

I guess you're referring to another brand because I don't think Caudabe even makes iPad cases?

I'm usually a Sheath guy, but I got Lucid this year. It's a gorgeous case, but I get what OP is saying. It's on there tight. I ended up following the video instructions and got it off. I think the trick is just getting one corner off which is pretty easy. Once you've got that corner off, the rest comes off way more easily.

Anyway, I went back to Sheath after trying Lucid a few days. Lucid looked gorgeous on my space black phone, but I'm too used to Sheath after all these years using it.

At first I had trouble getting mine off but I found the trick was to hold the phone with the back facing you and push the phone out of the case by pressing on the area where the flash is on the camera. Slid right out.

I had it for the 11 pro and it wasn’t that hard to remove. I guess it’s changed since then.
