lumix HD video compatibility with mac os x

I have just purchased the Panasonic Lumix TZ7 with HD video, i am able to upload pictures fine but my mac does not recognize the HD video component. In the instructions it says that it is not compatible with mac. Is there a way around this with some sort of plug in?
