Hiya All,
Long-winded but please stay with me:
I use my iPad Pro 11 and 12.9 along with the Apple Pencil to edit photos using Lightroom CC etc. That has been fine for as long as I can remember.
However, my photo interests have changed somewhat, and although I will still be using the iPad for maybe half or so of the editing that I would do - I now am looking at getting a MacOS machine because some of the apps I will need going forward are desktop OS only (Astrophotography stacking and editing).
I don’t want a laptop because I use my iPads so much, and the laptop wouldn’t leave the house, so I am looking at a Mac Mini M2.
I would have the Mac Mini setup on a desk that hasn’t got too much space (depth wise) for a monitor. But the desk is fine for when I use one of the iPads with a stand/keyboard/mouse or Magic Keyboard.
The biggest monitor that would fit would be a slim 22” or a very very slim 24” (still arguably too big). And those would still have to be side on/at an angle.
So I was thinking of using the iPad Pro along with Luna Display.
Has anyone used an iPad Pro for the primary/only display of a Mac Mini, and if so what lag experience have you had via USB-C?
If you have, have you used the setup for any photo editing or similar?
Many thanks for taking the time to read this
Ta,
Shane
