My display on my MacBook Pro a1278 late 2011 stays white screen after making a different repair. I broke the top part of the connector on the logic board. The part where the display cable connects. My question is about the connection do I actually need the gold plate that sits on top of that connector to make it work? it seems like it stays in place , I have it held there with tape. I actually had some picture coming thru it last night but it was fuzzy and now it just stays white again. Thank you for anyone who can help!!!
