LVDS m38 vs m50 compatibility? imac intel 17"

Hello,
I have a question. Does M50 cable 593-0306 from Imac 17 Late CD/Mid 2006 Intel GMA950 will work with imac 17 Early/Late with ATi Radeon X1600 where normally been putted M38 593-0227 LVDS cable?

I know that M50 works with 17" Screen from Early/Late versions (there is only shortest the inverter cable) but what about logic board??
