Hey guys installed the 1.1.3 update does this enable support for lyrics or not?

doesnt make sense that you would have to pay the 20 clams. the lyrics should be part of the firmware update without paying for the apps. i cant vouch for it though, i jailbreak.

I don't know if 1.1.3 brings lyrics but after getting the new apps I get lyrics on the vertical screen.

i have the download and the apps how do i get the lyrics??
J

First you have to add the lyrics. To do this, select "Get Info" for the track in iTunes, select the "Lyrics" tab and enter the lyrics before hitting "OK".

Sync your iPod.

When you play a track that you have added lyrics for, tap the screen once. This will bring up the "Repeat", "Shuffle" and scrubber controls, as well as the lyrics to the track.

you can also (if you have a mac) download "sing that iTune!" from the apple site for free. its a widget that gets you lyrics and saves them in the place
that ^ (the last person to quote you) was talking about.

do you know if their is a program like that for windows users? or will it work on either?

but... there's always been one such app, and free!

for unlocked machines, and way before 1.3 there has always been a free Lyrics application that also goes fetching them if you don't have them

To add lyrics to the iPod Touch and not just into iTunes you need firmware 1.1.3 and the Software Upgrade.

you are right Ivan, my mistake, it seems the touch's Lyrics app reads but doesn't fech the text.

In my post I was more on the answer to the OP "yes there's a free Lyrics app on all versions", but I got overexcited on the features

IF you want a karaoke version style and automatic lyrics without the aid of a computer go to: http://tunewiki.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

You'll need an internet connection and no it doesn't save the lyrics.

IF you want to keep the lyrics, then get the official Apple application, personally I would prefer the TuneWiki. (See YouTube for more information)
