Is there much of a sound difference between the JBL lsr305 compared to the M audio Av42?

Well, let's see here:

http://www.m-audio.com/products/view/av42

  • Frequency Response: 75 Hz – 20 kH
  • RMS SPL: 101.5 dB @ 1 meter
http://www.jblpro.com/www/products/recording-broadcast/3-series/lsr305#Specs

  • Frequency Range 43 Hz-24 kHz
  • Max Peak SPL 108 dB SPL C-Weighted

I'm assuming the SPL thing is comparable, but essentially, the JBL speakers are (significantly) louder and reproduce (significantly) lower frequencies than than the m-audio speakers do.
