okay we have a high pitched whine coming through the computer when recording in GarageBand. We have everything, we just need help on relieving this situation. Is there any way that there could be problems with the driver, such as any updates that are needed? we have the AKG Perception-100 mic. Maybe there could be any problem with that? I don't know. I just need this problem to end!!

M-Audio Firewire Solo Problems

Are you sure you're recording through the Solo and not through the built in microphone? Check the Audio In settings in both the System Settings and in Garageband itself just to be sure. I've done this a few times myself.
Are you running Leopard? If so are you using the new 10.5 beta drivers?

I'm not sure if we are running the new drivers or not, but i will check on the settings and see if we are running it through the firewire or the built in mic. Thanks for the help.
