M1 Air doesn't zoom in/out (cmd-opt =) ?

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but cmd-opt = normally zooms in, cmd-opt - normally zooms out on a MacBook Pro. Is this not an option on the MacBook Air M1?

It's a setting in System Preferences > Accessibility > Zoom
