I have a 2021 M1 iMac and I have been so impressed with the quality of the music (and Spatial Audio) that I even put away my Altec Lansing computer speak system. (And obviously I am not an audiophile.)
I am considering getting two HomePod Minis because my wife and I moved into a two floor house and as we are getting older it is at times "difficult" without yelling to get the attention of the other. Figured I would leave one upstairs by my iMac (where I usually reside) and one downstairs (for her to listen to music as opposed to her Amazon Echo) and we could use the intercom.
Question is if I only get one HP Mini - how will the sound (including Spatial Audio) compare to what I hear out of the built in speakers on the M1 iMac (which as I said to me are pretty impressive).
Thanks for any opinions.

I can’t comment on how the sound will compare but I can confirm that the HomePod minis do not support spatial audio.
