My iMac was working just fine the other day. I moved it to another room (carefully) and have plugged it in but won't turn on. Tried taking it back to old room - still won't turn on. Any help would be much appreciated

Fiddle with the power cord where it connects to the iMac. Push it in all the way.

You can try unplugging, then hold the power button while plugging in. If it doesn't turn on then, press the power button again. Use to work on older Macs. Also, check the plug where you are plugging in to. Plug something else in and make sure the outlet is working.

SMC doesn't exist anymore on Apple Silicon. So the reset doesn't work.
