Since I purchased my M1 Mac Mini I’ve used a thunderbolt to display port cable to a Lenovo monitor. I really want the port back on the Mac and would like to use the hdmi port instead but I’m having trouble finding a cable that will do HDMi to DP. They all seem to be uni directional only working DP to HDMI.

Anyone know where I can get a HDMi(Mac) to DP(monitor) ??

I am UK based.

It wouldn't be an adapter; it'd have to be an active signal converter. Looks like there are a few out there. Focus your search on CONVERTER and you'll find them.

The problem is the difference in signal protocols makes an intensive signal conversion necessary, and this takes more power than a normal DisplayPort cable can carry. So external power is necessary.

These all specify compatibility with MacBook Pros and Mac minis.
I've no direct experience of any of them, and you may need to sort out a DisplayPort to DP cable, and a USB-A socket or PSU to provide power:
