Anybody seen any reviews comparing the base model M1 Air to the top end M1 Air?

Anybody have both of these machines? I’m curious if the difference in GPU and Ram is even noticeable in real world applications. The real question, is the top end M1 Air at $1,449 worth the up charge over the base model M1 Air at $1199 (both with 512GB).

It seems to only come down to the fan. So, basically with the MBP you're looking at higher performance for longer, but for day to day stuff you're probably fine with the Air.

I'm waiting to see what the verdict is regarding 8 vs 16 GB RAM. I don't think there are many MBAs with 16 GB in use yet. I'm leaning toward 16 GB to make the laptop somewhat future proof.

What is this MacBook Pro you speak of? Only discussing the Air here.

Same, but less about the future and more how both configurations handle FCX.

Here is a comparison with the M1 Air vs M1 MBP. They both have 8GB of ram but this compares 7 GPU vs 8 GPU. From this video it is very close comparison and that is even with the MBP having a fan.

They should have another video by tomorrow comparing the 8 vs 16 ram.
