I've noticed over the past month or so that my batter doesn't last nearly as long as it originally did. I use it for light browsing, email and YouTube every so often. I'm using Safari. I checked the battery icon and saw that Dropbox was listed as an app using significant energy and have uninstalled it but the battery still drains really quickly. I keep the software updated and it is now on Big Sur 11.3. Is anyone else having these issues?

Correct - noticed that prior to Big Sur 11.3, I was getting considerable longer battery life. I am tempted to revert back to the prior OSX but not sure how or maybe - is it worth the effort and will the battery issue be fixed down the road - or as you said, maybe optimized apps like drop box to be updated. I know that firefox is a big culprit too for energy use.

I had this idea too, anyway any update needs to settle down like in phones, so I will judge after a certain number of total reboots.

/I charged the laptop to full 100 % and it seems to be better as its not draining as quickly. Maybe it calibrated? I do not know. will see how it goes.
