Question for the tech speculators out there and video geeks (like me):
Do you bet the performance for video editing in Davinci Resolve (specifically R3D / RED Raw) will be more than 10% better (sustained) for encoding / decoding R3D? Running multiple streams/nodes/etc.
In other words, do you think the Ram will be the new bottleneck given the 32 GPU cores?
Let me know your conjecture.
I asked Graeme Natress on the RED forums who is the primary engineer behind R3D and he just told me there are too many variables to speculate. True, but not helpful to my overactive mind.
I have both 32 GB and 64GB on order but I would like to cancel one before it ships so I don't have to deal with the hassle of a return.
