I have mine on high power plugged in, auto on battery. I'm coming from an iMac so I'll probably keep the MBP plugged in 100% of the time I'm not traveling in which case 75% of my travel will be with an iPad Pro and 25% with MBP and the MBP is basically silent (I can't hear it) compared to my iMac that had fans spinning up just doing time machine so I'm definitely in the high power club because I don't mind any fan noise.

High Power may be able to sustain high loads longer thanks to increased fan speed but it's kind of a joke because when I'm exporting 100 raw images into Lightroom, it did it so fast that the fan really didn't need to come on. Where the iMac after a minute would spin up to 100% RPM on the fans and the MBP is done in just over a minute so it never really got that hot. it's kind of insane.
