I've had my 2019 Mac Pro for almost two years now and it's been rock solid. I love the stability of the Xeons and ECC ram, as my programs never crash despite using it for long hours. I have 3 XDR's hooked up to the Mac Pro and have had no issues, with plenty of potential for expansion & upgrades. I have two M1 MacBook Pro's and a 24" iMac as well, though they are nice, I never thought of giving up my Mac Pro...until now.
I recently purchased the 16" M1 Max and hooked up my 27" LG 5K and two 21.5" LG 4K monitors and have been using it at my other office and it is very impressive. I also tested the Max with my 3 XDR's and it handles it very well. Everything is noticeably faster, opening apps, web surfing, multi tasking, everything. The fans are quiet and it has been very stable for me so far. There are a few things that aren't compatible with Apple Silicon, but that is it.
Single core work is not even close, as for the Geekbench scores the Max is 1700's, and under 1100 for my Mac Pro.
I know that the M1 Ultra Mac Pro will be drool worthy if it allows for PCIE expansion and the only reason to not upgrade is if you need x86.
I'm still holding on to my Mac Pro for now, but if there's a Mac Mini Max soon, then I think it'll be time to move on from the 2019's, if not now.

Damn.....two years has gone by quick, since release of the new MacPro...o_O
It's really unfortunate, in a way how much your Pro has fallen behind the AS Macs, especially with the large outlay.
3 XDR's...wooooow..:p

The BIG thing for me, moving forward is the inclusion of PCIe expansion etc in a new AS Pro.
I really need the multiple drives, internally.
