M1 Max mac studio with Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED

Hello!

I was wandering if someone could tell me if I would be able to use Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED with my M1 Max Mac Studio.

I've seen reports of it working with USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable. If so, what resolution and refresh rate can I expect? Is there possibility for it to go full resolution? If so, do I need any more specific cabling?

Do you already have the display?
If not, I'd suggest you NOT buy it.
Those "SUPER-wide" screens look like they can be more trouble than they're worth.

Get something more "conventional" in size. 27" or 32".
Preferably 4k or 5k.

Not yet, but as far as I know, it's amazing, at least on Windows.

Did you say that because of issues with macos connectivity or are you aware of specific issues related to this monitor overall?
