Mac Studio M1 Max running MacOS 15.1.

I upgraded all the way from Monterey which worked great but i had some apps that required updating to at least ventura to use the new versions so i tried my luck with Sequoia. My internet is so wonky now on WIFI after the update. If i go to a speed test once it starts im getting my full 250mbs~ on wifi. But when loading pages with google chrome or safari sometimes it will hang for 5-7 seconds doing NOTHING before the page loads. And in skype calls, google meet, and zoom, all my meeting participants say im cutting in and out, Google meets metrics page shows crazy latency spikes up to 2,300ms. but even in those moments, my speed tests showfast download speed and upload speed. but seems my ping is terrible or some other weird issue.

This never happened in Monterey, does not happen on my family members mac minis running Sonoma. and Monterey

Generically there is no issue like that with Sequoia, so it’s very likely related to some software you have installed not cooperating with Sequoia. VPN or content management (ad-block, toolbars, extensions) are at the top of the suspect list but others are on it too. Update to macOS 15.2, see if that helps.

If it does not - First create a new user, don’t sign into iCloud. Does the issue occur there? If it does, boot into Safe Mode and test the original user. Does the issue occur there? If yes test Safe Mode with the new user too.

Likely one of those will work fine, which will help identify the type of software involved (user-level only, or load on boot, or both).

Reply with results and we can help narrow it down.
