Hi everyone, I just got my M1 MBA and all was good at the beginning and lately I noticed something odd.

I normally leave my MBA plugged in all the time. It's basically my office workstation. I power it up in the morning and shut it down at night just before going to bed. Lately what I noticed is, when I power it on and with the power adapter plugged in, it shows that it is "on battery" and the battery indicator constantly reads 100%

But in reality it is not because it is actually discharging in the background and at one time it discharged all the way till the battery was empty. The only way to make the device realize that the adapter is plugged in is by turning the adapter off and turning it back on, then it shows "power source: power adapter".

Just thought to ask if anyone encountered something like this before?

On a side note, when I do eventually realize this, and turned the adapter off and on again, the battery charge level goes from 100% down to some value, perhaps the actual discharged amount.

Thanks in advance everyone! :)
