My new M1 MacBook Air can’t access shared folders on other Macs on my network.
In addition to my M1 MBA, I have a 2015 MBA running a fresh install of Big Sur 11.0.1 and a Mac mini running Mojave 10.14.6. The new MBA has been updated to 11.0.1 from its out-of-box OS image. i.e. no clean install. All have the same user account configured, but the MBAs are not signed into my Apple ID.
The Intel Macs can see each other in “connect to server”, but the M1 Mac can’t see the others. I can ping the others by IP address, but not connect by either host name or IP. The M1 MBA can reach the internet and sees my wireless printer in the System Prefs pane.
Anyone else encountering this? Toggling Wi-Fi and rebooting the M1 MBA didn’t help. I haven’t tried a clean install because of the other threads on the resulting problems.
