Hello, My M1 MBA recently stopped recognizing an external Sandisk SSD drive.
It seems to be there in "System Information" but does not show up on "Disk Utility", but the same drive (using the same cable) mounts fine on my wife's M1 MBA ...
Out of desperation, I tried connecting the SSD drive via a hub/dongle .. and it gets recognized. I then revert to the original C-C direct cable connection and the old problem still exists.
I tried re-installing (upgrading?) my Monterey install assuming that something had broken, but no change. Monterey 12.1 by the way.
Has anybody else had a similar problem where external drives are not recognized / does not mount? I am trying to seek a fundamental solution, now that I know there is nothing wrong with the drive itself (and I kind of found a workaround as per above).
Any pointers or hints would be highly appreciated. Thanks,
