Hi everyone,
This is a simple question, but I'm finding it hard to get a simple answer! I have a 27" 1440p 144Hz gaming monitor, which has HDMI and DP ports. When my M1 MBA connects via USB-C to HDMI, I get 60Hz. If I connect from USB-C to DP, will it give me 144Hz? Or is there a limitation on what the MBA will support? The Apple tech specs only says it will be support up to 6K at 60Hz... but does that mean it can do 1440p at 144Hz? Or 165Hz, if I used my other gaming monitor?
I'm asking in advance rather than testing it, as here a USB-C to DP cable costs quite a lot!. I'm currently using an HDMI cable with an HDMI to USB-C adaptor on the MBA end.
