Goodday everyone! I got my new MBP 2days ago. Well.. still other things are OK.. But one thing is very interesting.

I charged it yesterday up to 96% and turned off. Today i wake up it & it shows its battery percentage is "99%"!!

Does it lie to me?;;

Should i return it or Is it normal?

Normal. The battery life indicator gets reset after a deep sleep. Charge an iPhone or iPad to say “86%”, then restart the device. It will read approximately 3-5% higher. You’re MBP is all good!

Battery State of Charge (SOC) is notoriously hard to measure accurately. Most of the measurement methods are indirect approximations. Read this article if you want to go deeper. Also, SOC is affected by external factors like temperatures.

My thought is your battery is fine. Enjoy your new computer and don't stress about the battery until your system gets older. Remember batteries, like fruit, do go bad with age.
