M1 Mbp Vs 2018 Mac mini Read-Write speed slower on M1

Bought a new LaCie rugged NVME SSD and for who-haas I ran it on Black Magic speed test. It’s getting way faster read/write speeds on my i7 2018 Mac mini. Is it cause it’s going through Rosetta? TIA
