M1 mini Pro Display at full brightness on waking.

Not sure which forum this should be in since I can't tell what is a fault. Mini, Display, or Big Sur.

Have a new Pro Display on my almost new M1 mini. Works great, looks great, but... In my dark room I have to run the brightness at about 150 nits or less, but when the M1 wakes from sleep, the brightness is full at 500 nits (Preset to Apple Display) Just barely moving the slider instantly changes back to what it was set to.

Tried the few settings that are available, but it does the same on all. Anybody seen this?

This is a common bug with the mini (or more likely Big Sur). It's happening with the LG Ultrafine displays too.

Ok. Thanks. So I will wait for Apple to fix it. Or not.
