I have a MacBook Pro M1 Pro and thinking about a m4 air.

Currently, I use office/online stuff, some MS software on crossover, pretty basic. I also like to play games like Minecraft, no man’s sky, GTA V via crossover, snow runner, cities skylines on my 3440 X 1440 ultra wide monitor. For me as long as frame rates are above 50 I’m happy.

The M1 pro works well for all of these. I’ve heard the M4 has roughly similar graphics performance in benchmarks?

Does anybody have any experience with the m4 or thoughts on this? Just super tempted by that sky blue and something new.😅

Hi!
Yeah the sky blue looks good!
If an M1 Pro can handle it, m4 does have a better CPU and GPU so it will be good I betcha.
Maybe go to the Apple Store and have a look at the Mac book air and try run some pre loaded games🤔?
Have fun with your new Mac!

It’s interesting. I went to the Apple Store previously to try a Mac mini and they were not terribly stoked about me trying programs on one of the store computers. Haha

Anybody have any experience with the base m4 with the 10 core GPU and graphics/gaming with the above games?

The Air doesn't have active cooling, which might mean throttling and reduced performance in games. I'd wait for some real life reviews.
