If I'm not mistaken the 2021 MacBook Pro has integrated graphics only whereas the 16" 2019 has discrete graphics.

How does performance compare. Not for gaming primarily but Adobe suite, Cinema4D etc. although it's probably the same for both.

Apple has pretty much introduced the fastest integrated graphics. So to answer your question, both chips are better than the 2019 16”.

- The M1 Pro 16 core: Will perform better than a maxed out 2019 16” with top GPU option.

- The M1 Max 24 core: Will probably compare to an RTX 3060m maybe a little better.

- The M1 Max 32 core: According to Apple comparisons - should fall somewhere between an RTX 3070m and RTX 3080m

So… yeah these chips are incredible and they are doing it with FAR less power consumption.

That's very encouraging. Thanks!
No problem!

Actually new info is putting the 32 core pretty much on par with a 3080m which means the 24 core should come close to a 3070m.

For graphics work the M1 Max will probably be the better option due to the unified memory architecture (GPU sharing memory with system). However even the M1 Pro will pack a serious punch!

How does the Max compare with a Radeon Pro 480 or Radeon Pro 5500M? Thanks.
According to this article 5600m is around 50 % faster than 5500m.

And according to apple m1 Max can be around 4 times faster than 5600m in Cinema 4d.

So the M1 Max should be around 6 times faster than 5500m in Ciname 4d? It's fantastic, I'm blown away.

Looks great.

So is C4D M1 native? How about Adobe Suite and Nuke?

How would this compare with a low end Desktop PC for vfx work?

Are Adobe Suite, Nuke, and C4D all M1 native now?

Somewhat disappointed by the single core CPU benchmarks tbh but if the 32 core GPU really is that good...

Convenient time for Adobe to introduce multi-core support in After Effects, too.

I viewed a YouTube video a day or so ago showing Shadow of the tomb raider and Microsoft flight Sim that did play on a MacBook Pro M1 chip decently p, not great. So at least these two games should play even better on the M1 pro and M1 Max methinks.
